Job Description

Assistant Director - Child Care Center Job Overview Join our dynamic Child Care Center team as an Assistant Director , where you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. In this leadership position, you will help oversee daily operations, support curriculum development, and ensure compliance with licensing regulations. You will work closely with staff, families, and community partners to foster a safe, inclusive, and enriching learning environment that promotes children's growth and development. Key Responsibilities Assist the Center Director in managing the daily operations of the child care center. Supervise, mentor, and support teaching staff through coaching, evaluations, and professional development. Support the implementation and ongoing development of age-appropriate curriculum and educational programs. Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies. Conduct regular classroom observations and inspections to maintain quality and compliance. Assist with strategic planning to improve program quality, increase enrollment, and strengthen community partnerships. Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community stakeholders. Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred or as required by state licensing regulations). Proven management or supervisory experience in a child care center or early childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of early childhood development and curriculum planning. Classroom teaching experience in an early childhood environment. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding of state licensing requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
