Qualifications:
Education:
At minimum, a High school diploma or GED. Associate or Bachelor degrees in related fields preferred Previous experience working with young children. Lead teaching experience preferred Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care Participate in necessary background checks and trainings Ability to meet physical demands of caring for young children
Responsibilities:
Implement an overall curriculum for the classroom From the curriculum, implement units of study that include daily lessons Plan and create activities to reinforce the lessons Communicate with center leadership and with parents to meet each child's cognitive, emotional, physical and social needs Work closely with assistants and volunteers to create a safe and engaging learning environment Maintain records of the progress made by children and report this information to parents every 6 months Develop a plan with the director for professional growth and development

$14.00 - $16.50 per hour
