Through education, coaching, and resource connections, our team helps parents build healthy, nurturing environments where children can grow and succeed. Firefly is looking for a Parent Educator to work with families of young children and expectant parents throughout Pottawattamie County, Iowa. This role combines education, coaching, advocacy, and resource coordination to help children enter school healthy, confident, and ready to learn. Compensation $20.86 - $23.60 per hour Full-time position Hybrid flexibility available Up to 41 paid days off annually Key Responsibilities Coach parents on child development and early learning practices Conduct family visits and educational sessions Complete developmental screenings and assessments Connect families with community resources Track program outcomes and maintain documentation Coordinate services with local providers and agencies Support program enrollment and recruitment efforts Maintain compliance with program requirements Qualifications Associate degree or CDA required Bachelor's degree preferred Knowledge of infant and child development Experience supporting children and families Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
PAT Certification Home visitation experience Human Services or Social Services background Community resource knowledge Why Firefly?
