Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Support children during daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering, and bathroom breaks with patience and professionalism. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices. Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and interests to inform individualized support strategies. Engage children in play-based learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, and social interaction. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management techniques under supervision. Comply with mandated reporting laws and ensure all safety procedures are followed diligently to protect children at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices or willingness to learn. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Paid for Mandatory Trainings required by state (or 60 days to obtain them after hire) Understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
