Job Overview Our childcare center is seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible Early Childhood Educator to support both classrooms and our kitchen team. This position includes early morning hours and responsibilities related to CACFP meal service requirements . In this dynamic role, you will provide flexible, compassionate care to children of various ages while supporting kitchen operations to ensure a safe, clean, and nourishing environment. Your energetic approach and dedication will help create a positive space where children feel valued and supported in their growth and development. Duties Support classrooms from infants through school age children on a year-round basis Assist with routines, activities, and supervision Help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment Step into classrooms as needed to ensure smooth daily operations Assist in the kitchen with breakfast prep, serving, dishwashing, and sanitation Follow CACFP guidelines for meal components, portion sizes, and documentation Help maintain accurate meal counts and ensure compliance with food safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food preparation, dishwashing, and ensuring health standards are met. Help with meal service, snack preparation, and dietary accommodations for children with special needs or allergies. Support behavior management strategies by encouraging positive interactions and guiding children through routines. Collaborate with team members to create a nurturing environment that fosters early childhood education, preschool experience, and overall childhood development. Requirements Warm, patient, and energetic personality Flexibility to move between classrooms and kitchen tasks Comfort working early morning shifts Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience in childcare or food service is a plus (not required) Willingness to learn and follow CACFP requirement. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, behavior management techniques, and childhood development milestones welcomed. Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child safety is a plus. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs enhances your ability to support diverse learners. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities flexibly as a Child Care Floater while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and children's families. A genuine passion for caring for children and supporting their growth through nurturing guidance.
