Job Description

Childcare Provider Wilton Daycare Center Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the development and well-being of children in our care. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The ideal candidate will have experience with childhood development, classroom experience, and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. The Childcare Provider will be responsible for engaging children in age-appropriate activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering positive behavior management strategies. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working in a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Supervise and care for children in a variety of settings, including daycare centers, homes, or educational environments Plan and implement educational activities that promote learning and development Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, including administering first aid when necessary Support behavioral management and encourage positive social interactions among children Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs Work with children with disabilities or special needs to provide inclusive care tailored to individual requirements Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments Knowledge of childhood development stages and early childhood education methods Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom discipline strategies Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is highly valued Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Demonstrated ability to foster a nurturing environment that supports emotional and social growth This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to providing high-quality care that supports children's growth and development.
