Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher to nurture and educate young children in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for early childhood education and have experience working with children across various developmental stages. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning atmosphere, implementing age-appropriate curriculum, and fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a collaborative team committed to child welfare and development. Hours would be 730AM-1PM Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress and tailor activities to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns related to child welfare or development. Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with mandated reporting laws and health regulations such as first aid and CPR certification. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development strategies that incorporate standardized testing results and best practices in preschool teaching. Support children's physical activity through engaging physical education activities that promote motor skills development. Uphold policies related to childhood development, classroom management, and daycare experience standards to ensure a high-quality educational setting. Skills Extensive experience working with children across early childhood stages, including toddlers and preschoolers. Strong knowledge of child development instruction principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Proficiency in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education settings. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education methodologies. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math concepts and promote overall cognitive growth. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential. Experience teaching physical education activities suitable for young children's motor skill enhancement. Background in childcare or daycare environments; private school experience is advantageous but not required.
