We are currently seeking a reliable, caring, and energetic Afternoon Closing person to join our team at Wallaby Preschool.

Position Overview:

As the Afternoon Closer, you will help ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for children during the latter part of the day. You will assist in supervising playtime, guiding activities, and preparing the classroom for the next day while ensuring all children are safely signed out to authorized guardians.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Supervise children during free play, activities, and snack time Assist with leading age-appropriate games and activities Maintain a calm and supportive environment as the day winds down Communicate effectively with parents during pick-up Clean and sanitize toys, tables, and learning areas before closing Organize supplies and help reset classrooms for the following day Ensure all children are signed out properly and safely released to guardians Follow safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures at all times. Some diapering will be evolved as well as bathroom sanitizing. Collaborate with other staff members and support classroom needs

Requirements:

Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting preferred Must be at least 18 years old CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain) Dependable, punctual, and flexible Positive attitude and strong communication skills Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet during your shift Why Join Us?
