Our program is designed to support you in doing your best work every day. Position Overview The Lead Teacher is responsible for leading a classroom, implementing curriculum, and creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in the classroom, passionate about early childhood education, and excited to help build a high-quality program from the ground up. Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Leadership & Safety Maintain active supervision and ensure a safe classroom environment at all times Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements Establish strong routines and classroom structure Curriculum & Instruction Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum Support children's cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development Adapt learning experiences to meet individual needs Classroom Environment Create an organized, engaging, and welcoming classroom Guide behavior using positive, developmentally appropriate strategies Ensure smooth daily transitions and classroom flow Family Communication Communicate professionally and respectfully with families Share updates on children's progress and classroom activities Maintain confidentiality and strong professional boundaries Team Leadership Support and mentor Assistant Teachers Model professionalism, teamwork, and strong classroom practices Collaborate with leadership and contribute to a positive school culture Professional Responsibilities Complete required documentation and observations Participate in training, coaching, and evaluations Maintain compliance with all Avimor Academy policies and standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required) One of the following preferred: CDA, Associate's, Bachelor's, or Teaching Certificate Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom and implement curriculum Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills What We're Looking For We are looking for educators who: Are passionate about early childhood education Take pride in creating structured, engaging classrooms Have a strong work ethic and professionalism Are positive, reliable, and team-oriented Want to grow with a company long-term Schedule & Compensation Full-time, Monday-Friday (shift may vary) Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications Opportunities for advancement and increased compensation through our career ladder Join Us If you're looking for more than just a job—and want to be part of building something meaningful from the ground up—we would love to meet you.
