In this role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their growth and development through engaging activities and attentive caregiving. Your enthusiasm for working with young children will inspire their curiosity and foster a love of learning from the very start of their educational journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our youngest learners while developing your skills in early childhood education. We have a low ratio of 1:4, with a cap of 8 infants in our baby room. Responsibilities Provide attentive and compassionate care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development in infants Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Monitor developmental milestones and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress and needs Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans Support infants with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans that cater to children with special needs or disabilities Document observations of children's behavior and developmental progress to inform future planning Qualifications Prior experience working with infants in a daycare, preschool, or nannying setting is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Idaho STARS childcare certification/background check Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for infants and toddlers A genuine passion for caregiving and nurturing young children's growth Benefits PTO Paid Sick Leave Professional Development Support At Hygge Kinder House, we value safety, belonging, and connection.
