Our school is more than a workplace—it's a community where children, families, and teachers support one another. Why we need you Our substitute teachers help keep the day running smoothly when regular staff are away. Your presence helps our classrooms stay calm, consistent, and welcoming for our children ages 1-6. You play an important role in making sure children feel safe and supported as they continue their learning. What you'll be doing As a substitute assistant teacher, you'll work as needed, with shifts typically lasting 3-8 hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. One of the best parts of this role is flexibility—you choose when you're available to work.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting children in Montessori classrooms and following daily routines Helping children with activities that encourage independence and focus Assisting lead teachers with classroom setup and care Using Positive Discipline to create a respectful, calm environment Helping with snacks and meals Supervising outdoor play and ensuring safety Working with different age groups (1-6 years) as needed What we're looking for A current Idaho State Enhanced Background Check (or willingness to obtain one — reimbursement provided after 5 days of substituting) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain one — reimbursement provided after 5 days of substituting) Experience working with young children A kind, patient, and flexible attitude Comfort working in an active, hands‑on environment Nice to have Montessori experience or interest in learning Montessori methods Experience in early childhood settings Basic understanding of child development If you enjoy working with young children and like a flexible schedule, we'd love to hear from you!
