Early Childhood Teacher will assist the lead teacher in providing activities which support children in their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, and help maintain a safe environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement weekly lesson plans using a research-based curriculum (Creative Curriculum preferred) Lead daily classroom instruction and activities Maintain proper classroom ratios and active supervision at all times Foster a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment Monitor and document children's developmental progress Support individualized learning plans, including IEPs and IFSPs Conduct parent-teacher conferences and support family engagement Ensure compliance with Illinois DCFS licensing standards Attend required trainings and staff meetings Qualifications Associate's (AA) or Bachelor's (BA) degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or equivalent (required) Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or in an early childhood classroom preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Knowledge of Illinois early childhood regulations preferred Requirements Must pass all required background checks and screenings Ability to meet physical demands of an early childhood classroom (standing, bending, lifting, active supervision)
