KinderCare is seeking Lead Teachers for our McHenry center to guide high-quality early childhood classrooms. In this role, you'll design engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons, foster a warm and inclusive learning environment, and support each child's social, emotional, and academic growth. You will observe and document developmental milestones, communicate closely with families, and ensure all health, safety, and licensing standards are met. Lead Teachers also mentor classroom staff, collaborate with center leadership, and participate in ongoing professional development within KinderCare's supportive culture. Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with early learning standards. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and milestones. Communicate regularly with families about children's growth and daily activities. Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff. Maintain compliance with state licensing, health, and safety regulations. Collaborate with center leadership on curriculum implementation and classroom improvements. Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior using positive guidance. Prepare and maintain classroom materials and learning centers. Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
