KinderCare is seeking dedicated Lead Teachers for our Gurnee learning center. In this role, you will create a warm, inclusive classroom where young children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. You will design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons, foster social-emotional growth, and maintain a structured yet playful environment. Lead Teachers partner closely with families, communicate progress, and mentor assistant staff. Responsibilities Lead a preschool or early childhood classroom, ensuring a safe, nurturing learning environment. Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons and activities. Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and sharing updates with families. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, building strong, trusting relationships. Guide and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff to support instructional quality. Maintain classroom organization, routines, and positive behavior expectations. Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with center leadership and colleagues to support center-wide initiatives and events.
