Early Childhood Science Teacher (Ages 2-6)Position Title Early Childhood Science Teacher Position Type Full-Time Location Enchanted Learning Center Position Summary Enchanted Learning Center is seeking an energetic, creative, highly engaging, and passionate Early Childhood Science Teacher to inspire children ages 2-6 through hands-on exploration, discovery, and learning. This position is designed for an educator who can bring science to life while integrating literacy, language development, mathematics, critical thinking, social-emotional learning, and school readiness skills into daily instruction. The ideal candidate understands that science is more than experiments—it is about helping young children ask questions, explore their environment, solve problems, make observations, think critically, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Science Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; OR Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Science Education, or related field; OR Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with qualifying experience.
Additional Requirements:
Must be at least 25 years of age. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with young children. CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain. Completion of a physical examination and Tuberculosis (TB) test. Ability to successfully pass all required background checks. Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent classroom management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Technology & Computer Requirements (Required) Enchanted Learning Center is a 100% digital learning environment. Candidates must be comfortable using technology daily and possess strong computer skills. This position is not suitable for individuals with limited computer knowledge.

Navigate cloud-based storage systems and digital file management platforms. Utilize digital student assessment and progress monitoring systems. Maintain electronic student records and classroom documentation. Communicate professionally through email and digital communication platforms. Conduct internet research to develop engaging and innovative learning experiences. Participate in virtual meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions. Learn and utilize new educational software and technology platforms as assigned. Technology Expectations Must type accurately and efficiently. Must check and respond to work-related emails daily. Must be comfortable working in a fully paperless environment. Must be able to independently troubleshoot basic technology issues. Must be willing to learn and adapt to new software systems. Must maintain organized electronic records and files. Candidates who are uncomfortable using technology, managing digital documentation, or working in a paperless environment will not be considered for this position. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesScience Instruction Develop and implement engaging science lessons for children ages 2-6. Create hands-on experiments and interactive learning experiences that encourage exploration and discovery.

Teach science-related sight words and academic vocabulary. Utilize science-themed books and informational texts. Promote language development through discussion, observation, and questioning. Support letter recognition, phonemic awareness, reading readiness, and early writing skills. Cross-Curricular Teaching Incorporate mathematics, counting, sorting, graphing, and measurement activities. Develop activities that strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Connect science concepts to everyday experiences. Encourage creativity through science-based art and engineering activities. Child Supervision & Safety Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times. Maintain active supervision indoors, outdoors, during transitions, and on field trips. Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations. Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios. Report concerns immediately to administration. Family Engagement Build positive relationships with families. Communicate student progress and classroom activities. Participate in conferences and family engagement events. Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families. Classroom Maintenance, Health & Safety Responsibilities Maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and sanitary learning environment is an essential function of this position. All teachers are expected to actively participate in daily classroom cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment throughout the day. Sanitizing toys, learning materials, tables, chairs, and frequently touched surfaces. Cleaning and disinfecting classroom equipment according to center procedures. Assisting with meal and snack clean-up. Maintaining cleanliness of learning centers, storage areas, and classroom materials. Ensuring children's cubbies, supplies, and classroom belongings remain organized. Following all health, sanitation, and infection-control procedures. Assisting with classroom closing procedures and end-of-day cleaning responsibilities. Participating in scheduled classroom deep-cleaning activities as assigned. Promptly addressing spills, accidents, and safety concerns. Maintaining classroom readiness for licensing visits and inspections. Candidates must understand that classroom cleanliness, sanitation, and organization are essential functions of this position and are shared responsibilities among all staff members. Physical Requirements The employee must be able to: Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor. Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds. Participate in active play and physical activities with children. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Respond quickly during emergencies. Operate computers, tablets, and educational technology equipment. Schedule Monday through Friday Full-Time Position Must be flexible and available during center operating hours.
