Preschool Aide - Floater Responsible to:

Preschool Director Responsibilities:

▪ Assist in the implementation of the daily program for the classroom ▪ Assist in the planning and preparation of the classroom curriculum so it is age appropriate and effective ▪ Supervise the classroom when the teacher is out of the room ▪ Help with the general set-up and clean-up to maintain the daily routine ▪ Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the preschool ▪ Treat the children, family members, and staff with dignity and respect ▪ Attend all staff meetings and required training programs as needed ▪ Maintain confidentiality about all children, family members and preschool employees ▪ Supervise outside playground activities as needed ▪ Follow directions of the lead teacher or the preschool Director ▪ Arrive on time and work through the scheduled hours. Hours vary based on duties ▪ Take no more than 30 minutes for lunch ▪ Be flexible to sub or assist in all preschool classrooms as needed ▪ Assist the preschool director with office duties ▪ May on occasion be required to perform duties other than those specifically listed in this description

Time Required:

38 hours/week, Monday through Friday 10-5:30 pm

Qualifications/Special Skills:

Relates well to all ages; exhibits passionate faith and energetic personality; passion for reaching and discipling children and families; strong desire to serve God through the ministry of the Preschool; prior Christian ministry and teaching experience; current technology skills; understanding and support of the United Methodist church

Pay:

$17.00 per hour
