Responsibilities Key responsibilities Support Director in implementing center policies, licensing compliance,and health & safety protocols. Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback toteaching staff; model best-practice classroom techniques. Conduct frequent classroom observations and provide written/readableimprovement plans and follow-up. Lead new-staff orientation and ongoing professional developmentsessions. Schedule, lead, and document family tours and enrollment meetings;present program curriculum, schedule, and center values. Act as primary contact for prospective families during the enrollment process. Coordinate daily staffing and coverage; arrange substitutes and manage staff schedules with the Director. Maintain accurate child records, incident reports, attendance logs, and regulatory documentation (non-financial). Participate in family communication (emails, conferences) and center events. Assist Director with program evaluation, curriculum updates, and teacher hiring interviews. Will be required to fill in the classrooms at times and assist and carry out kitchen duties as needed. Assist the Director in managing daily center operations, including staff scheduling, program planning, and facility maintenance. Lead curriculum development initiatives to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support developmental milestones. Supervise teaching staff and classroom activities, providing mentorship and conducting performance evaluations to uphold high-quality education standards. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships that enhance child well-being. Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and Level 3 requirements at all times. Requirements Proven experience in education administration or management within a child care or early childhood setting. Strong background in curriculum development, classroom teaching, and working directly with children. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising staff and managing teams effectively. Excellent public speaking abilities to communicate confidently with staff, and families. Knowledge of licensing standards, health protocols, and safety regulations relevant to child care centers. Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration or a related field; advanced credentials are preferred. Qualifications Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, orrelated field required.
Skills and attributes. Stay up to date with state required trainings. Calm, decisive problem-solver with strong conflict-resolution skills. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with documentation and reporting. Energetic, approachable, and team-focused. Flexible availability for occasional early-morning/late-evening family events. Minimum 3 years classroom teaching experience in early childhood(infant-preK) and at least 1 year in a lead or supervisor role preferred. Familiarity with state licensing regulations and child safety requirements,along with Path's to Quality requirements. Level 3. Strong classroom coaching, observation, and feedback skills. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for tours, staff training,and family meetings. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
