Our lead floating positions support staffing needs across all classrooms - toddler to school age, and scheduled assignments will vary day to day. This position is great for a person who is flexible, can work well with anyone, and thrives in a changing work space each day! The persons selected for a teaching position at OMEEC should be someone who desires to work with children and families and works well as part of a teaching team. The applicant(s) must be responsible individuals that is emotionally and physically able to perform daily duties and relate well with others. All teaching staff must be able to take direction from the Administration, communicate professionally and respectfully with all staff, children, and parents.
Education & Training Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching in a licensed program. An Associate's, Bachelor's in ECE, Elementary Education, or a closely related field, or CDA is required for lead-qualified positions. Education plans are accepted for applicants working on a degree in Early Childhood Education as well. Transcripts must be submitted for verification prior to an employment offer. Applicants must meet all KOEC requirements for working in a licensed child care program prior to hire: current health assessment, negative TB test, current first aid/CPR certification, Foundations Module training through Cape (KCCTO), and pass a comprehensive background check prior to hire.
