Job Description
Lead Teacher (Ages 0-3) Full-Time | Exempt | In Person Shape Bright Futures Every Day Join SEK-CAP as a Lead Teacher for ages 0-3 and partner with staff to ensure quality, developmentally appropriate services for children and families. You'll create a nurturing environment that promotes growth, learning, and positive interaction while maintaining compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and state childcare guidelines. What You'll Do Provide daily leadership, supervision, and training for classroom staff and volunteers. Create and implement individualized lesson plans using observations and Creative Curriculum. Conduct parent-teacher conferences to strengthen family engagement. Support staff through reflective supervision and ongoing professional development. Ensure compliance with Head Start standards, KDHE licensing, and best practices. Collaborate with community partners and advocate for children and families.
What We're Looking For Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 15 hours inECE Minimum:
Infant/Toddler CDA (or ability to obtain within 6 months) 3-5 years of classroom experience preferred Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification at orientation Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Valid driver's license and ability to travel within agency areaWhy You'll Love This Job Leadership Role:
