This energetic role is vital in maintaining a vibrant, organized, and nurturing classroom environment across multiple age groups and classrooms. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and passionate about fostering positive learning experiences for young children. As a Breaker/Floater, you will support classroom teachers, engage with children directly, and ensure smooth daily operations within our educational setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson implementation, and classroom management strategies. Support various classrooms by providing coverage during teacher breaks or absences, ensuring continuity of instruction and care. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional development. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment by adhering to childcare standards and health protocols. Collaborate with staff on curriculum development initiatives focused on early intervention, childhood development, and special education needs. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a positive educational atmosphere. Participate in ongoing training related to Montessori methods, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles including curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively work with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience with standardized testing procedures and tutoring in core subjects such as math or literacy education is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and support child welfare initiatives. Certification or coursework related to early childhood education or Montessori methods is desirable.
