KinderCare is seeking a Senior Teacher for our Shawnee center to lead an early childhood classroom and inspire young learners. In this role, you will design and deliver developmentally appropriate, engaging curriculum that supports social, emotional, and academic growth. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment while modeling best practices and mentoring assistant teachers. The Senior Teacher partners closely with families through ongoing communication and with center leadership to uphold high-quality standards, contribute to program improvement, and support KinderCare's mission of enriching early childhood education. Responsibilities Lead a preschool or pre-K classroom, providing high-quality instruction and care. Design and implement developmentally appropriate, engaging lesson plans. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Assess children's progress and communicate regularly with families. Model best practices and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff. Maintain classroom routines, behavior expectations, and safety standards. Collaborate with center leadership and colleagues on curriculum and events. Document attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones accurately.
