Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Daycare Floater to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will provide support across multiple classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childhood development and childcare to contribute to a positive learning atmosphere while gaining valuable classroom experience. The position is paid and requires a compassionate approach to working with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Responsibilities Assist in supervising and engaging children during daily activities, playtime, and mealtimes Support classroom teachers by helping with lesson implementation and activity setup Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Step into different classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate adult-to-child ratios Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions Assist with diapering, feeding, and nap routines for infants and toddlers Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and play areas Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs and progress Requirements Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques Certifications such as First Aid or CPR are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Background in early childhood education or special education is advantageous Ability to work in a dynamic environment with flexibility across different classrooms Strong communication skills and a caring attitude towards children of all ages Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a safe learning environment for children
