Early Head Start Teacher - OVEC Classroom Active Imaginations Child Development Center - Lyndon Location Active Imaginations Child Development Center is seeking a dependable, nurturing and professional teacher for one of our OVEC Early Head Start classrooms. The teacher will provide high-quality care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants, toddlers or two-year-old children. Job Responsibilities Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming classroom Actively supervise children at all times Follow all OVEC, Early Head Start and Kentucky childcare regulations Maintain required staff-to-child ratios Complete name-to-face recognition during every transition Prepare and carry out age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development Complete required observations, screenings and documentation Maintain accurate attendance, meal and classroom records Follow individualized plans for children when applicable Communicate professionally with parents, coworkers and management Assist children with feeding, diapering, toileting, handwashing and other daily care needs Participate in staff meetings, required training and professional development Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families and staff Follow all center policies, procedures and sanitation requirements Work cooperatively with OVEC staff, center management and classroom team members Qualifications High school diploma or GED required CDA, associate degree or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred Previous experience working with infants, toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred Must meet all OVEC, Early Head Start and Kentucky childcare employment requirements Must complete required background checks Current TB documentation required Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification required or willingness to obtain Must complete all required orientation and annual training hours Must be dependable, patient and able to work effectively as part of a team Must be able to lift children, sit on the floor and remain active throughout the workday Position Requirements The selected candidate must maintain dependable attendance, arrive on time and follow a professional dress code. Personal cellphone use is not permitted in the classroom. Teachers are expected to remain attentive, engaged and actively involved with the children throughout the day. Schedule Full-time position, Monday through Friday. Specific hours will be discussed during the interview. Pay:
