The Town of Concord is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education & School Programs to help bring our childcare and school-aged programs to life! From preschool and after-school programs to early release days and summer adventures, this role helps keep our programs running smoothly while creating welcoming, enriching experiences for children and families. Working closely with the Director, the Assistant Director will help oversee staff, scheduling, curriculum, EEC compliance, family communication, and program operations while also providing hands-on support across program locations. This is a great opportunity for an organized, energetic professional who enjoys both program leadership and working directly with children, families, and staff. Ideal candidates should be experienced early childhood education professional with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or 3 years as a lead teacher in a licensed and accredited early childhood program. Candidates must also meet EEC Site Coordinator requirements; EEC Director I certification is preferred. Starting salary range:
$36.93 to $44.13 per hour ($76,809.98 to $91,795.08 per year) , based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, on-site position, with a complete benefits package. Appointment of the final candidate will be contingent upon the results of pre-placement conditions including criminal (including
CORI/SORI
) and motor vehicle record checks, a credit check, a physical exam and a drug screening. Costs for these pre-placement requirements will be borne by the Town.
