Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Nursery Care Provider! The role of Nursery Care Provider at Trinity Episcopal Church is to provide a safe & nurturing Environment for infants and children up to age four during our 10am Sunday Worship and possibly evenings during the week for programming/meetings. There will always be two vetted and trained providers, according to our church's Safe Church Policy. Duties Provide safe, nurturing care for infants and children during Sunday services Respond promptly to children's needs, including personal care and comforting Maintain a clean, sanitized environment following health and safety protocols Communicate regularly with IMYF regarding scheduling, day-to-day challenges, etc. Communicate with parents about their child's visit (highlights, challenges, diaper changes, naps, behavior, etc.) Follow parent-provided care instructions (food, social needs, learning needs, diapering, toileting, etc.) Supervise children at all times; report any concerns about child safety or behavior Assist with age-appropriate activities and play, make recommendations to IMYF for when elements, activities, or environmental changes should be made, when appropriate Qualifications Meet age requirements/permissions/training to work with minors Background check clearance (required) Safe Church Safe Communities certified (required) CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Experience with or genuine comfort in caring for infants Patient, calm demeanor with strong communication skills Experience A background in early childhood development Previous childcare or nursery experience Training in child development Ability to know when a parent is needed, or direct supervisor Core Competencies Integrity & Trust Interpersonal Skills Written & Verbal Communication Conflict Management Helping Orientation Hospitality/Accessibility Physical Requirements/Work Environment
