Essential Duties & Responsibilities o Work within a co-teaching model to create an enriched, positive learning environment o Create and implement an emergent curriculum which engages and challenges children's individual growth o Knowledge of child development and learning philosophies preferred o Constantly use best practices regarding child supervision and safety procedures o Communicate proactively to create a positive team-oriented work environment o Able to give and receive feedback from co-workers and administration o Exhibit a warm, inviting personality and use a positive approach to behavior management o Regularly communicate with families about children's developmental goals and accomplishments o Practice all EEC regulations and organizational policies o Encourage independent problem-solving and self-help skills with children o Document children's work and present as an educational resource o Use redirection, logical and natural consequences to guide children's behavior o Offer choices to foster independence and positive self-esteem o Participate in weekly team meetings, monthly staff meetings and school events o Strives for professional goals by actively engaging in professional development o Express a desire to grow and learn in an ever-changing field Qualifications & Competencies o EEC Lead Preschool Certified o
