Position Summary:
Apple Tree Arts, a nonprofitmunity school for the arts, serving people of all ages throughout south central Worcester County, seeks an individual (or individuals) to join our cohort of early childhood instructors by leading Musikgarten classes onsite. T is also a possibility for teaching outreach music classes at area preschools, daycares, and childcare centers, as we continue to field requests from more sites and respond to our own emerging needs. This position may require travel, so a reliable vehicle is a necessity. This position would be for the 2026-2027 school year, with possible training at the end of August.
Position Details:
Lead music classes for groups of 5-20 preschool aged children (ages 1-5) Using a variety of methods, provide a quality music education experience to each class Track progress of classes, and choose activities/repertoire that will help students meet established goals Attend monthly meetings with all early childhood faculty to songs, activities, and best practices Follow Musikgarten curriculum for each class Depending on interest and skill level, more teaching opportunities are available (other classes/workshops, private lessons, etc.) Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Interest in and experience with working with children ages 1-5. Bachelor's Degree in music, music education/pedagogy, music performance, music therapy, or an equivalent level of experience and education At least 1 year of experience in a related field (preferred) Is eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to work independently Has a strong singing ability (pleasant tone, able to sing in tune without apaniment) Is encouraging, playful, and positive with students and their families Must have reliable transportation
