In this role, you will help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes learning, social-emotional growth, and curiosity. Your expertise in child development and classroom management will inspire young learners to explore their world confidently while fostering essential skills for future success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through innovative teaching and compassionate care. Responsibilities Working along side the Lead Teacher and Teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic child development. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among preschoolers. Manage daily classroom routines, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom organization to ensure a safe and productive setting. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development. Conduct assessments with your co teachers using standardized testing tools to monitor each child's growth in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills. Apply knowledge of early intervention strategies and special education principles to support children with diverse learning needs. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety standards including first aid and CPR certification. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices. Experience with special education techniques, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and Montessori methods when applicable. Certification in first aid and CPR is required 6 months after hire; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
