Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development for infants and toddlers. Monitor and support individual developmental milestones through ongoing assessment and tailored activities. Manage daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play with patience and professionalism. Collaborate with families to share progress updates, address concerns, and support consistent care strategies. Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment adhering to health and safety regulations; conduct regular safety checks. Use effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and social skills among young children. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers. Experience with curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education for young learners. Proficiency in classroom management techniques suitable for toddler care settings. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies. Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessments; experience with tutoring or teaching physical education is a plus. Demonstrated ability in behavior management, classroom organization, and child welfare practices.
