Job Description

196 South Meadow Road, Plymouth MA South Shore Early Education in Plymouth seeks a full-time Head Start Preschool Teacher; school year, 52 weeks, 37.50 hours per week 10:00 am-5:30pm. All company benefits; salary commensurate with experience, education, licenses, and certifications. Excellent employee benefits package, in service training. Base hourly rate with AA/AS $25.62/hr., with BA/BS $27.67/hr. 37.5 hours per week.
Core Responsibilities:
Plan and implement all classroom activities that carry out the goals set forth in the Education Plan. Create and maintain a safe and healthy physical environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of students. Perform teaching activities in accordance with the Head Start performance standards set forth in the regulations, while assuming a lead role in working with varying groups of children. Meal assistance and other various activities as assigned. Develop daily lesson & curriculum plans.
Core Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in early childhood or related field, or AA/AS in early childhood or related field required, MA EEC Lead Teacher certification required. Bi-lingual (Portuguese, Arabic, Spanish) helpful although not required. Must be able to speak and understand English.
Minimum Requirements at employment:
All candidates must undergo a CORI, DCF, SORI, and fingerprint background check; prior to beginning employment. Date of posting 8/19/26, deadline to apply 9/1/26 or until a suitable candidate is found. Valid MA state driver's license. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
