The South Shore YMCA is looking for passionate, nurturing Teachers and Lead Teachers dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This opening is at State Street Early Learning Center at Hale Family YMCA.
Your Role Will Include:
Create & Implement:
Develop engaging lesson plans that support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
Nurture & Support:
Foster strong relationships with children and families, keeping them informed of their progress.
Ensure Safety & Inclusion:
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment where every child feels valued.
Collaborate & Grow:
Work with a team of educators to create a positive, cohesive classroom atmosphere.
Meet High Standards:
Maintain compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC best practices, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Teacher:
Must hold EEC Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
Lead Teacher:
Must hold EEC Lead Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices. Must be at least 18 years old. Strong classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development. Classroom experience preferred but not required.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, lift up to 25 lbs, and actively engage in activities such as climbing, running, and outdoor play. Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time): $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience and education. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Retirement plan. Discount on childcare programs and camps. Location & Shift:
State Street Early Learning Center at Hale Family YMCA. Full-Time position, within the hours of 7:30 AM-6:00 PM. Open to flexible scheduling, with a total of 40 hours per week. gl7uN936BN
