Aug 26, 2026 Job Description St. Patrick School, a Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 co-educational Catholic school, located in Stoneham, MA, seeks a faith-filled, enthusiastic, well-qualified candidate for the position of an Early Childhood Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position entails creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for early childhood aged children. This role involves planning and implementing curriculum, guiding social-emotional development, and collaborating with families and staff to support each child's growth. Early Childhood Teachers help young children integrate into school by providing them with the fundamental knowledge and skills they need to succeed. Some of their typical daily responsibilities include: Upholds and models Catholic values in all interactions with students, staff, and families Identify and address developmental concerns in partnership with specialists and families. Foster physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development through structured activities. Use play-based learning and hands-on teaching methods with minimal use of technology in the classroom. Understanding of developmentally appropriate curriculum and ways to implement. Use small groups and individualized instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Effectively communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student development. Observe and assess children's progress and behavior; maintain accurate records. Supervise assistant teachers and collaborate with staff to ensure consistent care. Promote positive behavior and classroom routines. Work closely with administration, staff and other teachers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for: Instructing students in a Catholic school setting. Explicitly teaching students the Catholic faith. Creating lesson plans in accordance with MA Frameworks as well as the Archdiocese curriculum. Supporting the Catholic identity of St. Patrick School. Create a positive learning atmosphere within the classroom. Communicating with parents. Attending special events such as Back to School Night, Open Houses, various school community events, and Grade eight graduation.Position Type:
