Summer and School YearHours:
Summer Hours Vary, After school hours : 2:30pm to 5:30pmPart-time hours. Summer and after school hours. Up to 19 hours per week.
REPORTS TO
Out of School Time Director/Out of School Time Coordinator
JOB GOAL
Work with children in grades K-4 to acquire decision-making skills by providing numerous activities to choose from throughout the day.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver age appropriate instruction and play, including outside activities (weather permitting). Adhere to the policies, rules, and regulations of the Out of School Time Program, School Student Handbook, Employee Handbook, and School Committee Policies.

Ensure the safety of all children in the program and never leave them unattended regardless of maturity level.

Ability to handle unexpected situations and respond in a highly professional, effective, and flexible manner.

Keep accurate and complete records of student attendance, working hours, etc.

Communicate the status of supplies and equipment for the program and adhere to the correct use of such items.

Inform the Out of School Time Director of any unusual problems especially when parental/guardian concern was necessary.

Develop and maintain professional working relationships through effective and timely communication with the program director, other program personnel, and other building staff members, such as principals, custodians, teachers, and food service personnel. Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis.

Assist the program Director in addressing the ongoing needs of the students and parents/guardians.

Serve required meals and/or snack.

Implement planned activities as determined by the Director/Coordinator.

Refer serious discipline problems to the program Director/Coordinator.

Attend all staff meetings and training sessions, if applicable.

Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the program Director/Coordinator and/or Superintendent.
