We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and understands the importance of creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment for our youngest learners. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in the development and care of children while helping maintain the high standards that families expect from Primrose. Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities Foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members Maintain classroom management and daily routines Complete required observations, assessments, and documentation Ensure compliance with all licensing and Primrose standards Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities Mentor and support Assistant Teachers within the classroom Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and readiness What We're Looking For A positive attitude and genuine love for working with young children Strong leadership and communication skills Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality Ability to work collaboratively with a team Someone who can create meaningful relationships with families and children A teacher who takes ownership of their classroom and contributes to the overall success of the school Qualifications Minimum 90-Hour Preschool Certification required Infant/Toddler Certification preferred Previous childcare or teaching experience required Lead Teacher qualifications per Maryland State Department of Education regulations preferred CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Must pass all required background checks Benefits Competitive Pay Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Childcare Discount Professional Development Opportunities Supportive Leadership Team Opportunities for Advancement Health Insurance Benefits (for eligible employees) Why Join Primrose School of Bel Air?
