Annual Review Regional Floater Teacher Job Description:

• This is an on-call position
• Hours will vary week to week based as needed. Opportunity for full-time schedule in the near future
• The ability to work at all of our 3 locations (Bowie, MD and Alexandria, VA) and Silver Spring,MD is required
• Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas
• Maintain regular observation of children's development and progress
• Assist in planning and implementation of daily lesson plans
• Maintain the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, and cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom
• Serve as a role model for the children in the areas of attitude, speech and actions Treat each child with dignity and respect
• Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions
• Interact with each child through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc
• Maintain positive relationships with children, staff and parents -Work well as a member of collaborative team focused on positive outcomes

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) MSDE Approved Basic Health and Safety Training (Required) First Aid and CPR Training (Preferred) CDA (Preferred) Virginia Safety Trainings ( 10 & 3 hrs )

Other Requirements:

FLUENT in either Spanish or English Basic to Proficient level in second language of English or Spanish Possess strong interpersonal skills. Practice excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor. Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
