About Us:
Bright Beginnings Preschool is a licensed preschool located inside Sport Fit in Bowie, Maryland. We provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children develop academically, socially, and emotionally through hands-on learning, movement, creative activities, swimming, and play. We are looking for a passionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher who loves working with young children and is committed to creating a positive classroom environment. Duties Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Maintain daily communication with parents regarding children's progress and classroom activities. Manage classroom routines and positive behavior guidance. Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization. Ensure compliance with Maryland Office of Child Care regulations and licensing requirements. Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
Qualifications Required:
Maryland 90-Hour Preschool Certification. Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment). At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed preschool or early childhood education setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to pass all Maryland Office of Child Care background check requirements. Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Preferred:
CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Knowledge of Maryland licensing regulations. Experience with lesson planning and kindergarten readiness. Medication Administration Certification (if applicable). Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
