Early Childhood Teacher (2026 to 2027 School Year)

St. John's Parish Day School, an Episcopal school serving students from Early Childhood through Grade 5, is seeking Early Childhood Teachers beginning August 2026. Our Early Childhood program values play based, hands on learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young children. We believe children learn best through meaningful relationships, active exploration, and joyful discovery. Our classrooms are grounded in a Responsive Classroom approach, fostering strong relationships, a sense of belonging, and a positive learning environment. We are seeking educators who are passionate about whole child education and committed to creating classrooms where children feel seen, valued, and inspired to learn. Both part-time and full time opportunities are available, ranging from 2 to 5 days per week. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Support students' academic, social, emotional, and physical growth Communicate regularly and professionally with families Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student success Maintain classroom organization and daily routines Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred Experience working with young children in an Early Childhood setting preferred Strong understanding of child development and play based learning Excellent communication and collaboration skills Flexible, reflective, and team oriented mindset Salary Range $25,000 to $50,000 depending on schedule, experience, and qualifications.
