Role Description This full-time Teacher role is an on-site position located in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. The Teacher will create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with KinderCare's curriculum, fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Daily responsibilities include facilitating learning activities, supporting social-emotional development, supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being, and maintaining classroom materials. The Teacher will communicate regularly with families and guardians about children's progress, collaborate with colleagues to support center-wide initiatives, and participate in ongoing training and professional development. Administrative tasks such as maintaining attendance records, documenting observations, and adhering to licensing and health and safety regulations are also part of this role. Qualifications Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience working with young children in classroom or child care settings. Ability to design and implement effective Lesson Planning and Training activities that support developmental milestones and diverse learning styles. Excellent Communication skills for engaging children, collaborating with colleagues, and building positive relationships with families. Relevant coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred; state-specific teaching or child care credentials are a plus. Ability to follow health, safety, and licensing guidelines, including child supervision requirements and classroom management best practices. Commitment to creating an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment and supporting each child's individual needs. Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, reliability in attendance, and readiness to participate in ongoing professional development.
