Job Description
Our Before and After Care Programs are hiring for School Age Site Directors, teachers, and aides at our Prince George's Elementary School Before and After care sites. Part-Time Positions are available ALSO! The Site Director of the Before & After School Program, reports to the Principal and District Director and has overall accountability for the development, growth, quality, and success of the daily before and after school program hosted at Prince George's elementary schools. The Director secures and manages all operational and staffing needs to ensure the program has sufficient instructional support and that students are engaged in a broad range of high-quality, fun, mission-aligned extracurricular activities before and after school, in line with Prince George's mission and scaffolded to be age appropriate across the K-5 students enrolled. She or he develops relationships with Prince George's County families and partners, supporting student and staff recruitment and retention initiatives throughout the year. The Site Director works in conjunction with key school personnel to implement daily programming and manage a smooth integration with the regular school day. She or he serves as a member of the school-based administrative team and is responsible for supporting the communication and troubleshooting of schoolwide concerns, as they may impact the before and after school program, including: scheduling of extracurricular and tutoring activities after school; developing lesson plans and following curriculums. They manage budgetary and administrative needs for the program; supporting development of school-wide safety and operational systems; and planning after school events for students and families. The Director always conducts her/himself with the utmost professional manner and positivity, as a representative of Sanbridge Early Learning Center. Our before and after school program will run from 7:00AM to 9:00AM and 2:00PM - 6:00PM during the week, hours may vary. The Director is expected to be on-site during school and after school hours to accommodate meetings and training with school and after school staff. Teachers must have their certifications in child care. All candidates must be professional, enthusiastic and motivated. We are looking for candidates that have high standards and believe that the care and education they provide is invaluable. All teachers work to create a classroom environment that promotes cognitive, social/ emotional, and creative development in each individual child. You must be willing to partnership with parents to support the child through their elementary school years.
Required qualifications are:
DEGREES IN EARLY CHILD CARE EDUCATION ARE PERFERRED!
DIRECTORS/TEACHERS- High School Diploma
- Regulation Training within 6 months of hire
- 90 clock hour certification or/45 School Age certification
- 9 HR. COMMUNICATION/some college credits
- CPR/ First Aid
- ADA Certification
- 1/2 Year work experience. All Continuing education courses are a +
- Medication Administration
- Basic Health & Safety
- Computer Skills, preferably Microsoft Office
- Very strong customer service skills, PROCARE, knowledge of OCC licensing requirements. All Continuing education courses are a + AIDES
- Aides must have their aid orientation course within the first 6 months of hire
