Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Preschool Teacher to create a structured, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for children ages 2-5. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, classroom management, and preparing children for kindergarten readiness.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- 90-Hour Certification (45 hours Child Growth & Development + 45 hours Preschool Curriculum) Required
- 9-hour Communication Course (Required)
- Health & Safety Training (preferred)
- ADA/Inclusive Practices Training
- Breastfeeding Awareness Training
- Minimum 1 year experience working with preschool-aged children (preferred)
- MSDE Child Care Credential (Level 3 or higher preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or higher
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Strong classroom management skills
- Lesson planning experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
- Maintain a structured daily schedule
- Support social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance
- Maintain accurate attendance and child records
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Ensure classroom compliance with MSDE regulations
