Full Time Teacher(s) - Preschool/Pre-K

The Valley School- New Market is looking for a Preschool/Pre K Teacher to join our team. We are a licensed child care center looking for an energetic, creative, dependable and nurturing teacher for our preschool program.

Duties:

Provide developmentally appropriate care that is based on the needs of the child, age, ability and orientation Maintain a clean and safe environment that is in compliance with all licensing regulations Perform daily housekeeping duties including cleaning, sanitizing, cleaning equipment, meals, diapering, etc. Maintain a healthy relationship with the child's family by communicating with parents regularly about the child's development Develop positive relationships with other care providers, families and neighbors Communicate with parents regularly about the child's development Maintain professional skills through continuing education training and a licensure renewal Attend ongoing training to improve your skills and knowledge Create and implement age appropriate lesson plans using the provided curriculum

Skills:

Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher (minimum of 1 year experience) Minimum completion of the 90 hour Preschool Certification required B.A. or A.A. or CDA in ECE a plus but not required Excellent knowledge of child development and preschool educational methods Able to engage children in a positive and age appropriate manner.
