In Person Join Our Team! Kiddie Academy is looking for a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our 3-Year-Old Preschool Classroom . If you love helping children learn through play, creating meaningful learning experiences, and making a positive impact every day, we'd love to meet you! As a Lead Teacher, you will create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically while building strong relationships with families and fellow educators. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood learning standards. Create a safe, clean, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment. Foster children's cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development through play-based learning. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions. Use positive guidance and classroom management techniques to encourage appropriate behavior. Observe, assess, and document each child's progress and developmental milestones. Maintain daily classroom records, including attendance, daily reports, and accident reports. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities. Conduct parent-teacher conferences as scheduled. Ensure classroom health, safety, sanitation, and medication procedures comply with state licensing regulations. Organize and maintain classroom materials, equipment, and learning centers. Lead and mentor assistant teachers to ensure smooth classroom operations. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, academy events, and family engagement activities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Academy Director. Qualifications Required Meets Maryland State qualifications for a Lead Teacher position. Previous experience teaching in a licensed preschool, childcare center, or early childhood education program. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Reliable, professional, caring, and enthusiastic. Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members.
