Job Description
Job Overview Young Horizons School is opening a brand-new location in White Marsh, MD and is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Preschool classroom. As a Lead Teacher, you will create a classroom environment that supports each child's full potential. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and evaluating classroom activities, leading instruction, and fostering strong partnerships with families. The ideal candidate brings experience of working with young children, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early childhood professional who is eager to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and engaging classroom. Hourly rate is based on Education, Certifications and Experience. Duties Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment with strong classroom management practices Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging activities that support each child's growth and development Observe children daily to assess skills, interests, and needs, and use insights to guide individualized instruction Implement the curriculum with fidelity and intentionality Maintain strong, professional communication with families and build positive relationships Collaborate with Teacher Aides to develop and execute weekly lesson plans and classroom activities Staying current with best practices and advancements in Early Childhood Education Support the Center Director with onboarding and training of new staff and substitutes. Pay:
