Job Description

Description:
Provides safe, nurturing care and education Plan and implement age-appropriate activities focusing on social, emotional, and cognitive development. Maintain constant visual and auditory supervision of children, adhering to adult-child ratios and safety protocols. Observe, document, and evaluate children's developmental progress, and update individualized plans as needed. Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's development, daily habits, and concerns. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom, including sanitizing toys and managing cleaning schedules. Lead and support classroom Teacher Assistants, substitutes, and volunteers.
Requirements:
Maryland 90-Hour Certification (45 hours of Curriculum + 45 hours of Child Development) or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential Previous experience working with young children is preferred Successful completion of background checks and required medical examinations (including TB testing) Strong communication skills, adaptability
