Preschool Director and Part-time Teacher

Description:

Oversees daily operations, staff, curriculum, and safety, ensuring compliance with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) licensing regulations. Key responsibilities include leading team members, managing enrollment, fostering family engagement, implementing curriculum, and managing budgets Recruit, train, and supervise teachers, conducting performance evaluations and mentoring Ensure the center meets all Maryland child care licensing regulations and health/safety standards Build positive relationships with parents, manage tours, and spearhead enrollment efforts Oversee developmentally appropriate curriculum implementation Manage budgets, payroll, and billing, often using child care management software

Requirements:

High school diploma, certificate of high school equivalency, or ? Successful completion of college courses for education 6 semester, 90 clock hours or the equivalent of approved early childhood coursework (45 hours child development and 45 hours curriculum planning), At least 9 clock hours of approved training in communicating with staff, parents and the public 40-45 clock hours or the equivalent of approved administrative training 3 clock hours in ADA Compliance Within 6 months after date of hire, complete a regulation training 1 year of experience working with preschoolers in an approved setting
