Job Description

Whole Kids Academy is a warm and vibrant Spanish immersion preschool with nearly a decade of experience serving local families. We take immense pride in nurturing and developing the whole child as we work towards our goal of helping children grow as strong, independent thinkers in a warm and loving environment. Our school is home to an incredibly connected and invested community, where children, teachers and families learn, grow and thrive together. We are in search of dynamic educators to join our team and provide a holistic education to young children. Our educators work to instill a loving, community while nurturing happy, healthy, resilient children who love to learn and are eager to explore life's wonder and possibilities. The right candidate will be exceptionally passionate about early childhood education, and will share our team's values. All members of our team must be incredibly organized, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment. The key functions of this role include, but are not limited to: Providing a warm, safe, and well-supervised environment with lots of love, hugs, care and attention provided to each child and family! We give big, warm bear hugs to each child upon their arrival at school, are invested in their days and work to build strong relationships by getting to know each child's individual likes, dislikes, fears, strengths and ways they may need support. Developing and executing lesson plans that target important areas of preschool growth and development including mathematics, literacy, social studies, STEAM, music, fine and gross motor skills. Ensuring that all learning experiences are hands-on, creative, foster wonder, awe and curiosity, are fun and engaging for the children so each child may grow a life-long love for learning. Utilizing curricula resources to ensure that children are challenged in the areas of mathematics, literacy, writing and language to build upon their current skillset and reach their full academic potential. Ensuring tracking and communication of developmental milestone achievement and areas of growth for each child. Qualifications:
Preferred:
Candidate with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education (or a related field). Must have MSDE Lead Teaching Credential via 45 Hour Child Growth and Development and 45 Hour Pre-Service Training for Preschool and additional courses. At least three years' experience in a school or childcare setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Native Spanish language is required. Per MSDE licensing regulations, all applicants are required to successfully complete a state and federal background check as well as a medical clearance to safely perform all expected job duties.

Timeframe:
We are looking for our new Preschool Teacher to begin as soon as possible. While we prefer a candidate that is looking for a long-term home with our school, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months.
