Are you passionate about helping preschoolers build the confidence and skills they need for kindergarten? We are looking for a dedicated, creative, and nurturing 4-Year-Old Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Key Responsibilities Create a fun, safe, and engaging classroom that prepares children for kindergarten. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the center's curriculum. Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Encourage critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and independent learning. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Build strong relationships with children, families, and fellow educators. Complete lesson plans, child assessments, required documentation, and classroom responsibilities. High School Diploma or GED required (college coursework or degree preferred) CDA, Credential, or Preschool Qualification Evaluation (PQE) preferred or required based on position Required Maryland Office of Child Care (OCC) training, including: 45 Hours Child Growth & Development 45 Hours Methods & Materials 9 Hours Communication Basic Health & Safety Developmental Screening American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Training Emergency Preparedness Medication Administration Pediatric First Aid & CPR Must meet all Maryland Office of Child Care (OCC) teacher qualification requirements. Preferred Skills Passion for early childhood education and kindergarten readiness. Patient, creative, organized, and flexible. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
