To Be Determined Job Description Maine family hiring 1:1 support for autistic 3 year old in a private daycare. This has been pre-approved by the daycare director and the classroom teachers are supportive. Three year old boy (with speech delay) needs a supportive teacher to help integrate him to the classroom experience. Ideally this person will have experience with special needs children and a comfortable range of skills to help with transition struggles, emotional regulation, peer engagement etc. This is an unusual position, but we are dedicated to getting our son comfortable with a school setting, improve his speech and help with peer interactions. A support teacher will not be available by Early Intervention (CDS) until spring 2027, if at all. In the meantime, our family runs a farm and needs childcare. A traditional nanny would do basic care, but we want him to have a more integrated preschool experience, so that he is more comfortable when he starts public school.Pay:
$30/hour with vacation and sick timeHours:
core hours are 9-3, but can be flexible within 1 hour of that time frameBenefits:
