Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive growth, social skills, and early childhood development in children from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene in accordance with health and safety standards. Foster positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and respect among children. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build strong relationships. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with licensing requirements. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar environments. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while demonstrating patience and empathy. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
