Full-Time Childcare Lead Teacher Position Summary The Full-Time Childcare Lead Teacher creates a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn and grow. This position is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supporting children's social, emotional, and academic development, building positive relationships with families, and collaborating with colleagues to provide a high-quality childcare program. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and daily routines. Provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Supervise children and promote their health, safety, and well-being. Support children's learning, behavior, and social-emotional development using positive guidance strategies. Communicate effectively with families regarding children's progress and daily experiences. Collaborate with colleagues to support program goals and maintain a positive team environment. Maintain lesson plans, child records, and classroom organization. Create portfolios for each child following the Maine Roads to Quality domains. Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and program policies. Participate in staff meetings and professional learning opportunities. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience as permitted by state licensing). Experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) and successful completion of required background checks. Schedule Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Monday-Friday; school-year schedule based on program needs

$23.00 per hour
